Fulham players have been called up for international duty during the September break. A total of 14 players from the senior and under-21 squads will represent their countries across Europe and Africa.
This comes as the club sits 19th in the Premier League with just two points from five games. Their recent form shows one win, two draws and two defeats ahead of the trip to Ipswich on 10 October.
Senior squad selections
Eleven first-team players have received senior call-ups. Calvin Bassey is with Nigeria for Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, while Sander Berge and Kristoffer Ajer are part of the Norway squad for Nations League matches. Timothy Castagne joins Belgium, Joachim Andersen is with Denmark, and Shea Charles is in the Northern Ireland setup.
Vitaly Janelt, aged 28, has earned his first senior call-up for Germany. Michael Kayode, a right-back, also receives his first Italy selection. Kevin Schade is recalled to the Germany squad after a strong start to the season. Other senior call-ups include David Affengruber (Austria), Hugo Larsson (Sweden), and Antonee Robinson (United States).
Youth involvement
Three younger players are also set for international action. Jonah Kusi-Asare is in the Sweden under-21 squad for Euro qualifiers. Jannik Schuster is with Austria Under-21s, and academy forward Jai Nwosu is in the England Under-17 squad.
For several players, including Janelt and Kayode, this break offers a chance to make a senior international debut. The club will rely on its squad depth during their absence.
